Industrial ecology studies the interaction between dif-ferent industrial systems as well as between industrial systems and ecological systems. The journal focuses on the understanding of the environmental impacts and drivers of the stocks and flows of material energy and other resources in production and consumption activities. The Journal of Industrial Ecology publishes sustainability and circular economy research which considers the relationship between the environment and socio-economic systems.
Industrial Ecology is the study of industrial systems aimed at identifying and implementing strategies that reduce their environmental impact. Industrial ecology IE is the study of industrial systems that operate more like natural ecosystems. The courses included in the programmeplan handle topics such as the environment life cycle assessment and circular economy. The Journal of Industrial Ecology publishes sustainability and circular economy research which considers the relationship between the environment and socio-economic systems. Animals and plants live on each others waste matter. Candidates should have expertise in developing and applying theories concepts and methods in the social and biophysical sciences to the study of energy and society.
